100 landless families to get houses in Bijoynagar

100 families are getting dream houses in Bijoynagar upazila of Brahmanbaria. A list of landless and homeless families has been prepared to implement Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s declaration that ‘not a single person in Bangladesh will remain homeless in Mujib Year’.
Right to Asylum – Sheikh Hasina’s Gift” On the occasion of Mujib Year, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s gift is being given to the landless and homeless families living in 10 unions of the upazila under Asrayan Project-2. Under the Asrayan-2 project, the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, Guchhgram, the three organizations, (a) the list-based helpless, landless-homeless widows, the elderly, the destitute and the disabled are predominant.
It can be seen on the ground that the house will have a spacious verandah, two bedrooms, with a kitchen, a red tin canopy on top of the brick walls around it, with hygienic toilet facilities and about Rs 1 lakh for house construction. 71 thousand taka. The house is in the final stages of construction, and the exterior of the house is breathtaking. If all goes well, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate it on January 23, 2021 through a video conference.
The local administration is working tirelessly to make this project of the Prime Minister a success without any negligence.
Shahinur Jahan, Upazila Project Implementation Officer, said, “I am working to realize the dream of the Prime Minister. There was no negligence to the work.
Mahbubur Rahman, Upazila Assistant Commissioner Land, said that on the occasion of Mujibvarsha, houses will be constructed on 2 khats of government khas land and documents including land naming will be given to 100 families as a gift from the Prime Minister.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (son of freedomfighter) KM Yasir Arafat said, “The work of this project is being done on the basis of transparency, so I am constantly supervising the spot.
No error of any kind has been observed here.” The houses will be given to the beneficiaries completely free of cost, he added, adding that the work is going ahead with the direct cooperation of the MP, RAM Ubaidul Muktadir Chowdhury, who is making arrangements to fill any gaps.
