A total of 100 meritorious students of the Department of Accounting & Information Systems of Dhaka University (DU) have been awarded departmental scholarship for their outstanding academic performances.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique distributed the scholarships among the brilliant students at a function held on Thursday in the Business Studies Faculty auditorium of the university.
Chairman of the Department of Accounting & Information Systems Prof Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed presided over the function while Treasurer Prof Dr Md Kamal Uddin, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies Prof Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam and Convener of Scholarship’s Committee Prof Dr Shafiq Ahmed Siddique addressed it as special guests.
At the function, DU VC urged the rich people of the society to come forward with helping hands to patronize the poor but meritorious students of the country.
