10 rivers marked rise, 70 fall

Water levels in 10 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise and 70 stations recorded fall.Among the 83 monitored water level stations, water levels at three monitored river stations are flowing above their respective danger marks while three stations have remained steady, a bulletin issued by FFWC said on Wednesday.
The Lakhya at Lakhpur, the Padma at Sureswar and the Kushiyara at Sherpur-
Sylhet are flowing above their respective danger levels by 36 cm, 10 cm and 10 cm.
All major rivers are in falling trend, the FFWC bulletin added.
Significant rainfall was recorded in some stations in different districts during the last 24 hours ending at 6 am on Wednesday.
A total of 107 mm rainfall was recorded at Panchagarh, 72 mm at Dalia, 25 mm at Satkhira and 20 mm at Rohanpur.
