10 more Ctg schools found taking charging extra fees

The five teams led by executive magistrates of Chittagong District Administration conducting their inspection drives in the city schools in last two days found that six schools were charging additional fees during students’ admission while four other schools were charging excessive transfer certificate fees.
The team led by executive magistrate Tahmilur Rahman yesterday found Chittagong Ideal School in Jamalkhan area was taking Tk 8,000 extra as admission and other fees.
The teams also got similar evidences at Silver Bells High School, Saradiner School and College and Railway Public High School. They are charging between Tk 5,000 and Tk 8,000 as admission fees from new students.
Halishahar Meher Afjal High School and Chittagong Steel Mills High School are taking illegal development fees.
Meanwhile, Meron Sun School and College, JM Sen School and College, Alkaran Nur Ahmad C/C High School and Mohora Sahera Khatun School are charging Tk 2,500 to Tk 5,000 from students for transfer certificates (TC).
Getting complaints that many city schools are realising additional fees during admission, on January 18, CDA formed teams to inspect and collect information of the schools. The teams were asked to submit their reports by January 29.
