This time 5 to 12 year olds are coming under corona vaccine. In order to vaccinate these age groups, the
concerned department has already completed the data collection activities related to the number of district based primary students.
The Chittagong District Primary Education Officer’s Office has collected information about the number of students of this age (5-12 years) following the instructions of the Department of Primary Education.
In the meantime, the information has been sent to Dhaka (Department of Primary Education), said Chittagong District Primary Education Officer Shahidul Islam. There are more than one million students in the age group of 5-12 years in the educational institutions of the district, Shahidul Islam, adding that information was sought from the Department of Primary Education. They sent it.
According to the District Primary Education Officer’s Office, there are 2,269 government primary schools in the district. The number of 5-12 year old (from Class-I – Class-V) students in these institutions is 5 lakh 46 thousand 69 people. Besides, there are 4 lakh 96 thousand 455 students of this age in private schools. A total of 10 lakh 45 thousand 324 students aged 5-12 years of the district have been sent to Dhaka, said Assistant District Primary Education Officer Hrishikesh Shil.
