Staff Reporter :At least 10 people were killed and three others injured in separate road accidents in Mymensingh, Bogra and Dinajpur districts on Saturday.In Mymensingh, at least six persons were killed and two other were injured when an auto-rickshaw collided head-on with a goods-laden Tangail-bound truck on the Mymensingh-Tangail highway at Vhapkir in Muktagachha upazila around 6:00am, said our district correspondent, quoting from the Muktagachha Police Station’s Officer-in Charge (OC) Kamal Hossian.Of them, three were killed on the spot and rest of them succumbed to their injuries at Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital.The victims were identified as Alal Hossain, 45, Shamir Talukder, 35, Akbar Ali, 32, Jalal Uddin, 32, Salim, 60, and Shafiqul Islam, 40, all of them hailing from Muktagachha upazila.The injured are auto-rickshow driver Rafiqul Islam, 35, and one Nizam Uddin.All the victims were passengers of the auto-rickshaw. Police seized the truck and its driver from the spot.In Bogra, two motorcyclists were killed when a passenger bus hit their vehicle on the Bogra-Rangpur highway at Sherpur upazila in the morning. The victims were identified as Sabina Yasmin, 24, and her husband Masum Ali, 32.In Dinajpur, two pedestrians were killed when a sand-laden truck hit them when they were crossing the Fulbari-Dinajpur road in front of the Fulbari High School in the afternoon. The identities of the victims could not be known immediately.
