Police arrested 58 persons, including 10 activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra Shibir from different places in the district during the past 24 hours ending this morning.
According to police sources, the arrested Jamaat-Shibir activists had been absconding and several cases are pending against them for their alleged involvements with attacking police, conducting subversive and terrorist activities, vandalism and arson in recent times.
