The Income Tax Department has issued tax cards to 10 individuals and organizations in greater Chittagong, including Daily Azadi Editor MA Malek in the journalist category.
Other tax care receipients are Ali Hossain Akbar Ali in Senior Citizen category, Sukarno Ghosh in Disability category, Businessman Mohammad Kamal, Meghna Petroleum Limited and Padma Oil Company in Fuel category, Young One Limited of CEPZ in Readymade sector Enterprise.
A tax card and taxpayer reception ceremony was held at the Taxes Club in PHP Building at Agrabad CDA Residential yesterday.
MA Malek said, Prime Minister is showing Bangabandhu’s dream. We are the drivers of fulfilling that dream. Karnafuli tunnel is our pride. Taxpayers have to raise taxes every year – to get out of this fear. New taxpayers need to be encouraged.Appellate Commissioner Helal Uddin Sikder was the chief guest at the function presided over by Tax Commissioner Syed Mohammad Abu Daud.
