10 including 3 BCL men killed in road crashes

At least 10 persons including three local leaders of BCL killed and many others seriously injured in several road crashes across the county on Sunday.
In Cumilla, three motorcyclists were killed in a road accident when a passenger bus rammed them on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway in Sadar South upazila on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Kajol Hossain, 25, son of one Sadek from Bijoypur, Mohammad Sajal, 24, from Sanonda village and Shahin, 24, son of Abdul Latif from Lalmai. All of them were local BCL leaders.
Mamunur Rashid, Officer-in-Charge of Sadar South Police Station, told the media that a passenger bus of Shyamoli Paribahan ran over a motorcycle-riding three youths in front of Palli Bidyut office around 12noon, leaving the trio dead on the spot.
In Kishoreganj, at least two motorcyclists were killed in a tragic road crash when a bus rammed into a motorcycle in Pakundia upazila of Kishoreganj on Sunday morning.
Deceased Hridoy Hossain, 16, son of one Abu Taher and Roman,16, son of Chando Miah, both were students of Chouddashata High School.
Nasiruddin Mojumdar, Inspector of Highway Police confirmed the news to media that a Dhaka-bound bus smashed a motorcycle in Pulerghat area, leaving one rider Hridoy dead on the spot and Noman critically injured and later succumbs to

injuries on the way to hospital. In Sylhet, at least two persons including a driver of auto-riskhaw were killed when a truck rammed a auto-rickshaw in Companiganj upazila on Sunday. The deceased were identified as driver Alam and passenger Khairul Islam.
Additional Police Super Aminul Islam confirmed the news to the media.
In Dhaka, a day labourer named Ahsan Gazi, 50, was killed when a truck hit him in city’s Mirpur Section-6 area on Sunday.
Bachchu Miah, Inspector of DMCH Police Camp confirmed the matter to the media.
In Gopalganj, a van driver named Parvej Sheikh was killed and five other injured when a bus hit him in Sadar upazila of Gopalganj on Sunday morning.
Deceased Parvej Sheikh was the son of Mokhles Sheikh, hailed from Gopalkathi village under Sadar upazila of Bagerhat. Sadar Police Station Officer in-Charge Monirul Islam told the news to the media.
In Munshiganj, a 76-year-old man named Tajul Islam was killed after being hit by a bus on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway, near Gazaria upazila on Sunday morning.
Rashedul Haque, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Dhaka-Chattogram Highway police outpost, said: “A Motlob Express bus hit Tajul while he was crossing the Gazaria upazila road, killing him on the spot.
“Police have impounded the bus and arrested its driver for investigation,” he added.
The body has been handed over to his family.
