10 families delighted to have dream homes at Gafargaon

 Widow Sufia Khatun is 51 years old now. Her husband died some years ago. She spent most of her life in a broken house. She has got a home of two rooms, a kitchen and a toilet. Such 10 homeless family got 10 homes at Gafargaon under Mymensingh.
The Disaster Management and Relief Ministry of the Government has set up homes for families under disaster-proof housing construction program. The homes have been built in the current fiscal year.Every famiy has got a two bed room, a kitchen, a toilet and a corridor before the room.
Getting home , widow Sufia Khatun like the family of Sabina Akter and 8 families are relly very much delighted. They said, ‘we are having dream. we all are happy to get a brick-built house in our hardship life. Under the project, 10 such widows, day labourers, the auto-rickshaw driver and the masons were made a permanent brick-built homes.
Upazila project implementation officer’s source informed that in the financial year 2018-2019 the upazila allotted TK-24 lakh 84 thousand 340 in the disaster-prone housing construction sector.TK-2 lakh 58 thousand 434 is allotted for each family.10 submersible pumps have been installed by the Public Health Engineer Department to ensure proper drinking water in the houses.
Under the project those who have got houses are Abdul Murshid of Bara village, Rafiqul Islam of Charmaslanda village, Helal Uddin of Haturia village, Alal Uddin of Dowlatpur village, Sabina Akter of Ghagra village, Alam Mea of Dhighirpar village, Badal Mea of Gualbor village, Abul Hossain Bapari of Balipara village, Nurul Islam of Neguari noyapara village and Matiur Rahman f Baghber village.
