A mobile court in the port city convicted 10 drug addicts and traffickers including an officer of Karnaphuli gas distribution Co Ltd with different terms on Tuesday .
Mobile court led by executive Magistrate Abdus Samad sikder led the drive at Barisal colony in the city .
During the drive, law enforcers recovered different kinds of drugs and drug using equipment from their possession.
The KGDCL officer was identified as Anowarul Hoque, Asstt. Manager who is hem addicted. During the raid the drug den of Barisal colony torched by the mobile court. Officials of NCD, BGB, police forces were present during the raid, sources said.
On the other hand another mobile court led by Magistrate Sharmin Akhter in Maizertek area under Karnaphuli thana fine fifteen vehicles running without registration and fitness certificates and realized penalty from them, sources said.
