A ten day long Jatra festival will begin on Thursday at Mymensingh gymnasium with a view to revive the cultural heritage Jatra Pala.
Bangalee Nirmal Jatra Utsab Udjapon Parisad, Mymensingh, arranged the festival. Convener of the parisad and eminent cultural personalities Amir Ahamed Chowdhury Ratan announced the programmes of the festival at a press conference at Mymensingh Press Club on Wednesday.
He said the objectives of the festival are to revive the past heritage and fame glory of Jatra industries in the country aswells free the industry from the capture of obscene.
