10 BCL men hurt in rival clash at Rokeya Varsity

At least 10 activists were injured in a clash between two rival groups of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) on the Begum Rokeya University campus on Tuesday.
Witnesses said, a group of expelled BCL activists of the university unit, led by Hamiduzzaman, forcibly took money from an admission seeker of the university.
A number of incumbent BCL leaders and activists protested the act and got them out from the campus.
Later, Hamiduzzaman and his men, fully equipped with lethal weapons, re-entered the campus and locked in a clash with the running BCL group, leaving 10 leaders and activists injured.
On information, a team of police rushed to the campus and brought the situation under control.
The injured were whisked off to local hospitals.
Additional policemen were deployed to fend off further trouble on the campus.
