10 arrested with drugs in Pirganj

Police in Rangpur’s Pirganj conducted a special operation and arrested 10 people, including the convict accused. During this raid, the police recovered 1,000 pieces of Pathedin injection and 100 grams of cannabis from the addicts.
According to the police, SI Jamiul conducted a raid on Tuesday night and arrested Afroza Begum, 40, wife of Ruhul Amin of Tukuria Gachhuyapara village from Tarafmauja Balurpar in Tukuria Union of the upazila with 1,000 pieces of Indian drug Pathedin. Pirganj Police Station OC Saresh Chandra said the estimated value was Tk 2 lakh.
At the same time, in a separate operation, SI Sudipta Shaheen arrested a young man named Al Amin (35) from Chatra Hat of the upazila with 100 grams of cannabis. The arrested is the son of Abdur Rashid Miah of Rangamati village in Kabilpur UP of Al Amin upazila.
Two separate cases have been filed against them at Pirganj police station under the Narcotics Control Act. On the other hand, on the same night, the police conducted separate raids and arrested Humayun Kabir of Tuknipara village of the upazila, who was sentenced to one year, and arrested six others in different cases.
