Some 10 members of Bangladesh Ansar and VDP were detained on Saturday night over the allegation of stealing some materials of Dhaka Electric Supply Company Limited (DESCO) from its Tangi office.
Firoz Talukder, officer-in-charge of Tongi Police
Station, said Tongi office of DESCO filed a case with the police station last night and handed over the 10 Ansar men, who were discharging duties there.
Few days back, a good number of nuts and bolts of DESCO worth Tk 25,000 were stolen from its Tangi office, the OC added.
