A court here on Monday sentenced a man to death for killing a schoolboy in 2006.
The convict was identified as Abdul Majid, a resident of Baro Satoil village in Singra upazila.
According to procession, Abdul Majid killed Asif, a class IX student and son of his neighbour Mainul Islam, by slitting his throat over previous enmity at Budar Bazar in 2006. A case was filed in this connection and police arrested Majid.
After examining the records and witnesses, additional district and sessions’ Judge Rahibul Islam handed down the verdict.
