1 more Hajj flight cancelled, 2 rescheduled

Biman Bangladesh on Friday cancelled one more Hajj flight due to pilgrims shortage. So far 24 Hajj flights of Biman have been cancelled.
The Hajj flight of 7:45 am was cancelled from Dhaka as none reported for the flight.
Two other flights of 11:45 am and 3:55 pm have been rescheduled due to unavoidable circumstances and will now be flown on August 22 and 25 for Saudi Arabia, Biman sources said.
According to the Hajj office at Ashkona in the
capital, 1,22,995 pilgrims have received visa clearance from the Saudi Embassy, and contrarily Hajj agencies have not applied for visa clearance for 4776 pilgrims till Friday.
The last date of receiving visa had been extended by the Embassy till August 20 upon the application of Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB). The last date of visa application was August 17.
Till date, some 95,903 pilgrims have reached Mecca for performing Hajj. Biman Bangladesh has carried 36,244 and Saudi Airlines 59,659 pilgrims.
