A man was killed and four others were injured when a Demra-bound bus of Swadhin Paribahan plunged into a roadside ditch after its driver lost the control over the steering at Banasree in the capital on Tuesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Jewel Miah. Further details about him could not be known immediately.
One of the injured was admitted to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) and remaining three were admitted to local hospitals, Police said.
Rampura Traffic Zone Sergeant Md Ariful Islam said, the driver of a bus of Swadhin Paribahan lost control over the steering at Mostofa Majhi intersection on the Rampura-Demra Road and fell into a roadside ditch around 9:30am, leaving one dead on the spot and four others wounded.
Police seized the bus, the police official said.
