A pedestrian was killed and 25 students of Chittagong University (CU) were injured on Friday morning as a bus carrying the students overturned on a road in Alutila area of the Khagrachhari upazila.
The deceased was identified as Hafiz Ullah, 67, a local fish trader.
According to Fire Service, a Khagrachhari-bound tourist bus carrying students overturned on the road after the bus driver lost over the steering, leaving the fish trader dead on the spot and at least 25 students injured.
The injured persons were given primary treatment and were sent to Chittagong Medical Hospital.
Among them four were hurt seriously.
