Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) members arrested an accused in the case filed in connection with the nasty incident of stripping naked a young housewife during arbitration at Shapmari village in Sadar upazila.
The arrestee was identified as Mintu Miah, 20, son of Nawab Ali of Banderbari area in the district town of Jamalpur. He was one of the four accused in the attempted rape case registered on Monday in connection with the incident.
The other accused are Joynal Abedin Hasi, 52, son
of Ayez Uddin of the Shapmari village; Bhutto Miah, 30, son of Majnu Miah; and Mintus brother Mithun Miah, 25.
A team of RAB-14 arrested Mintu from in front of a workshop in Sadar upazila around 1:15pm, said company commander of RAB-14 Jamalpur Crime Prevention Company-1 additional police super Mohammad Tajul Islam.
