The members of Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested one person along with Tk 4,00,000 for his alleged involvement in the city’s Khilgaon shooting on Sunday night. The arrested person has been identified as Sirajul Islam, 50, a resident of Khilgaon, police officials said.

Saidur Rahman confirmed the news and said that a team of DB police launched a drive in the area following a secret information around 10:30 pm and arrested Siraj along with Tk 4,00,000 of the looted money.
According to the police official, the miscreants, who gunned down a young trader and injured his father, gave Tk 500,000 to Siraj as commission for giving them shelter. Of the total amount, Siraj spent Tk 100,000, quoting him, the police said.
