One student was expelled for adopting unfair means and a total of 209 candidates were absent from English First Paper examination of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination under Chittagong Education Board (CEB) yesterday .
CEB control room sources said the third day of SSC examination in five districts under CEB was held peacefully. Amid tight security no untoward incident was reported from any examination hall under the board.
A student was expelled for adopting unfairmeans at Korok Bidyapith examination center of Chakaria in Cox’s Bazar while a total of 209 examinees were absent from English First Paper examination today, said CEB examinations controller Mahbub Hasan.
CEB formed a total of 55 vigilance teams consisting of teachers and magistrates to check any sort of unfairmeans or irregularities during the examination.
A total of 83 thousand 57 students out of 83 thousand 266 appeared from 981 high schools through 159 centers under CEB.
Meanwhile, 28 platoons of Border Guard (BGB) were also deployed at different examination centers to ensure security of the examinees, Board sources said.
