An anti-smuggling squad of Bangladesh Navy seized 1.40 lakh pieces of Yaba tablets worth Tk7crore from the outer anchorage of Chittagong port early Wednesday. Commander Jasimuzzaman of the Navy team said sensing presence of the team a gang of smugglers fled the area leaving their boat around 4.00am. Later, the team recovered the Yaba tablets worth Tk 7crore from the abandoned boat.
However, none was arrested in this connection.
