Zahidul Islam, a first year student of the Department of Islamic History & Culture emerged the champion in the Annual Sports Competition of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall of Dhaka University (DU) on Thursday.
Rakib Rana, a Masters student of the Institute of Education and Research (IER) and Altaf Hossain, a Masters student of the Department of Peace & Conflict Studies became joint runners-up in the sports competition. The sports meet was held at the central playground of DU.
Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique inaugurated the competition in the morning as the chief guest.
Later, Treasurer of DU Professor Dr Md Kamal Uddin distributed the prizes among the winners. Provost of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall Professor Dr Md Baitullah Kaderi was present on the occasion.
