An unidentified youth was killed in a ‘shootout’ with members of Detective Branch (DB) of police in the city’s Mugdapara area on Sunday morning.
Sources at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital
(DMCH) said sub-inspector Afzal of Mugdapara Police Station took the bullet-hit body of the youth to the hospital around 11:00am.
The SI claimed that the youth was killed in a gunfight between members of DB police and some miscreants in Balurmath area in the early morning. However, details of the incident are still awaited.
