A young man was beaten to death inside a brick kiln by its workers at Padua in Lohagarah upazila on Thursday.
Mohammad Shahjahan, officer-in-charge of Lohagarah Police Station, said workers of the brick kiln caught Mahiuddin suspecting him as a thief around 7 am.
Later they gave him a good thrashing, leaving him dead on the spot.
On information, police rushed in and arrested 14 people, including the owner of the brick kiln, Liakat, in connection with the incident.
