An international workshop on ‘Building Quality in Higher Edcuation’ orgainzed by University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh was held at UGC auditorium.
Education Secretary Md Sohorab Hossain was present as the Chief Guest on
the occasion while UGC Chairman Professor Abdul Mannan presided over the
function.
Prof Dr Mohammad Yousuf Ali Mollah, Member, UGC, Prof Dr Dil Afroza Begum, Member, UGC and Dr Gouranga Chandra Mohanta, ndc, Project Director (Additional Secretary), Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQE) were present as special guests.
M.H. Rahman, International Development Consultant at Learning Synergy,
Ottawa, Canada presented the key-note paper.
The chief guest, in his speech highly lauded the initiatives undertaken by UGC for quality enhancement of higher education.
He urged the university teachers to impart the quality higher education to the students to keep pace with today’s world.UGC Member Professor Dr Md Akhtar Hossain, Vice-Chancellor of various universities of the country, Directors of Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and officials of UGC and HEQEP, among others were present on the occasion.
