UNB, Sherpur :
A housewife who was stabbed following previous enmity over land at Chakpara village in sadar upazila on Thursday died at Mymensingh Medical Colleged Hospital on Saturday.
The deceased was identified Nurunnahar,45, wife of wife of Samedul Haq Kanu of the village.
Police and locals said Kanu had a long standing enmity with his neighbour Abdur Razzaq over a piece of land.
As a sequel to the enmity, Razzaq and his associates equipped with lethal weapons attacked Kanu on Thursday night. As Nurunnahar came to save her husband the assailants stabbed her, leaving her injured.
She was taken to the district hospital first and then shifted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries Saturday afternoon.
A case was filed.
