Staff Reporter :A sexagenarian woman was killed in a road accident in the city’s Mirpur Section-10 intersection area on Wednesday afternoon.The deceased has been identified as Hazera Begum, 60, wife of Ismail Mia, came from Kazipara of Mirpur in the capital, police said. Quoting the relatives, Dhaka Medical College and Hospital’s (DMCH) Police Outpost In-charge Mozammel Haque said that a passenger bus knocked her down in Mirpur Section -10 intersection area when she was crossing the road.She was rushed to the DMCH and the on-duty doctor declared her dead on arrival and the body has sent to the DMCH morgue for autopsy, the police official said.Meanwhile, the driver managed to flee from the spot, he added.
