A woman who was injured allegedly by her stepsons over family feud at Elishmari village in Chowgachha upazila of Jessore district on Monday night died at Chowgacha Upazila Health Complex early Tuesday.
Officer-in-charge of Chowgacha Police Station M Mashiur Rahman said Kohinur Begum, wife of Wazed Ali, a resident of the village, locked into a quarrel with her stepsons on Monday night.
At one stage, they beat Kohinur mercilessly, leaving her critically injured.
Kohinur was admitted to the upazila health complex where she succumbed to her injures early in the morning.
Police recovered the body and sent it to Jessore Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy..
