Gambian forward Landing Darobe scored a brilliant hat-trick saw powerhouse Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited to get off to a winning start in the Federation Cup Football when they dumped Uttar Baridhara by 6-2 goals in their opening group B match encounter held on Saturday at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
In the day’s match, Landing put Sheikh Jamal ahead in the 23rd minute while Wedson doubled the Sheikh Jamal’s lead in the 30th minute.
After the breather, Landing scored his second and third for the team in the 47th minute while Khalekujjaman Sabuj pulled one back for Uttar Baridhara in the 54th minute.
Enamul further widened the Sheikh Jamal’s Margin in the 55th minute while Landing completed his hat-trick scoring the third and fifth goal for Sheikh Jamal in the 64th minute.
Rohit Sarkar scored the second goal for Uttar Baridhara in the 69th minute as Yasin Khan sealed the Sheikh Jamal victory scoring the sixth goal in the injury time of the second half.
Sheikh Jamal will play their next group match against Brothers Union Club on Wednesday (June 15) at the same venue.
