One person was killed and one was injured seriously by the attack of wild elephants at Jhenaigati of Sherpur district on Wednesday early morning.
The deceased was identified as Alhaj Md Rustam Ali (62) at Gurucharan Dudhnai in Jhenaigati upazila of the district.
Sources said a herd of wild elephants went down at localities of border area. People tried to cheese them but one of the elephants attacked Rustam Ali and he died on spot. Seriously wounded Niamot Ali admitted in Sherpur sadar hospital.
Officer in charge of Jhenaigati thana Md Mizanur Rahman confirmed about it.
