Wari Club upset Bangladesh Police Athletics Club beating them by 2-1 goals in the Minister Fridge Bangladesh Championship Football League at the Bir Shrestha Shaheed Sepoy Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur on Thursday.
Arif put Wari Club ahead in the 11th minute while Kabir restored the parity for Police AC in the 44th minute.
Ashraful netted the match-winning goal for Wari Club in the 51st minute, but he got the marching order in the 61st minute after receiving the red card.
Despite the day’s defeat, Police AC was placed 3rd in the league table securing 17 points while Wari Club remained at the bottom in the eight-team fray collecting 10 points, both playing 12 matches each.
