The Walton 1st Inter-Shaheen College Hockey Tournament begins tomorrow (Saturday) at the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) Shaheen College Dhaka Ground.
Air Vice Marshal Md Abul Bashar will inaugurate the hockey competition tomorrow at 10.00 am as the chief guest while First Senior Additional Director of Walton FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn will be with him as the special guest.
A total of eight BAF Shaheen Colleges across the country will compete in the six-day long hockey meet. They are: BAF Shaheen College Dhaka, BAF Shaheen College Kurmitola of Dhaka, BAF Shaheen College of Jessore, BAF Shaheen College Pahar Kanchanpur of Tangail, BAF Shaheen College Shamsher Nagar of Sylhet, BAF Shaheen English Medium School and BAF Shaheen College of Chittagong.
The champions of the tournament will be awarded Tk 25 thousand while the runners-up will be given Tk 15 thousand.
The Player of the Tournament will get Tk five thousand while the highest scorer of the meet will be given Tk five thousand.
The hockey tournament will be concluded on October 15.
