Wakil Ahmed to make Liberation War based movie

Noted film director Wakil Ahmed lost his mother on June 21. For this reason, he could not concentrate on his works for last few months. But life does not stop. He is trying to finalise a script which is adaptation from the story of War of Independence of Bangladesh based on a novel of Humayun Hasan. Wakil Ahmed informed that for the first time, he is going to make a movie which will be based on liberation war. Now he is engaged with its story.
He said, “I have planned to start shooting of this movie in the beginning of New Year. I shall try my best to make it for the people of our country.”
Wakil Ahmed directed last movie was Porimoni and Bappi acted Koto Swapno Koto Asha.
He worked as assistant of Hafiz Uddin and Shibly Sadik for many days.
His directed first movie was Shot Manush. Later, he made movies Prem-er Odhikar, Odhikar Chai, Bhulona Aamai, Bhalobashar Dushmon, Ke Ami? and Shera Nayok.
