In order to build a disease free and healthy generation, blue capsules will be given to children aged 8 to 11 months and red capsules to children aged 12 to 59 months from 6:00am to 4:00pm in 1,026 permanent and temporary vaccination centers in 41 wards of the city. The four-day National Vitamin A-Plus Campaign will run from June 4 to June 7. On this occasion, an advocacy and planning meeting was organised by the Health Department of Chittagong City Corporation at the General Hospital Auditorium of the City Corporation on Monday under the chairmanship of Councilor Jahar Lal Hazari, Chairman of the Health and Family Planning Standing Committee. Ward Councilor Abdus Salam Masum, CCC Chief Health Officer, Selim Akhtar Chowdhury, Health Officer Mohammad Ali, Medical Officer of the Civil Surgeon’s Office Nurul Haider, Chasik Zonal Medical Officer Imam Hossain Rana, Dr Rafiqul Islam, Dr Deepa Tripura, Mamata Shaheen Sultana and others spoke on the occasion.
