Villagers’ clash in Benapole claims one more lives

Asgar Ali, 58, son of Sagir Uddin of Raghunathpur village under Benapole port police station who was wounded in a clash between two groups of villagers at died on Monday evening. He was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Dhaka since April 24 . Two people including a former member of Bahadurpur union council were killed and four others wounded in a clash between two groups of villagers over cutting of a fallen tree at Raghunathpur village under Benapole port police station on April 24 morning.
The dead were identified as Md Abdullah, 52, ex-member, Bahadurpur union council and Shamsur Rahman, 40 of Raghunathpur village under Benapole port police station, said Apurba Hasan, officer in-charge, Benapole port police station.
The wounded Sumon, 23, son of ex-UP member Abdullah, Asgar Ali, 58, son of Sagir Uddin, M Abdullah , 35, son of Sarjul Haque and Hafizur Rahman, 35, son of Golam Sarder, all of Raghunathpur village were rushed to Jessore Medical College Hospital and Sharsha Burujbagan Hospital. Of the wounded Asgar Ali was shifted to Dhaka as his condition had been going to be critical.
