The Bangladesh under-16 men’s team returned home from Qatar on Monday after taking part in the AFC U-16 Championship Qualifiers.
The boys in red and green created history when they stunned host Qatar by 2-0 goals in the group E last match held on Sunday night in Doha. Earlier, they went 0-2 defeat to Yemen.
Bangladesh will now have to wait for the other groups to finish learning whether they have a chance to go through to the 16-team final round to be played in Malaysia next year.
Ten group champions and five best runners-up teams along with the hosts will participate in that tournament.
