Jamilur Rahma Shakha is an actor of 600 films. His first acted film was Safdar Ali Bhuiyan directed Rajmukut. Before that he was attached with acting in theatre plays. Basically he established himself as an actor acting in several numbers of theatre plays. Later he started acting in big screen.
Born on March 17, 1942 Jamilur Rahman Shakha is a respectable person to film actors and directors. He never talked about his remuneration while acting. According to him, he acted passionately only. He has three daughters – Liza, Shikha and Lucky. Among them, Lucky is alive now. One daughter was killed by her husband while another daughter died of brain stroke. His younger daughter Lucky is separately living with her only daughter. Now Shakha is living in Dohar, Nawabganj. He acted in roles of father, uncle, brother, respected neighbor and repressed people in big screen. Due to his age now he is getting little bit offer to work. When he gets any work then comes into Dhaka.
Shakha also informed that last year Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave him savings certificate of Tk 10 lakh. He is getting Tk 8,500 monthly which is used for his survival now.
