UNB, Dhaka :Favourite Uzbekistan Under-19 Football team started their campaign in the AFC U-19 Championship Qualifiers with a flying tone crushing Bhutan Under-19 Football team by 7-0 goals in the opening Group-A match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium here on Friday.Uzbek defender Gofurov Husniddin put his side ahead in the 42nd minute by a low header from the goalmouth melee, utilising a right flank free kick of midfielder Sharof Mukhtidinov (1-0).Gofurov successfully fired the net deceiving Bhutanese goalie Gyaltshen Zangpo as well as two opponent defenders who were on goal line.Bhutan hardly had absorbed the shock when goalie Gyanshen Zangpo in his attempt to clear the ball brought Shukrov Nurulloev down inside the box in the stoppage time of the first half and Sharof Mukhtidinov stepped up to convert the penalty (2-0).Winger Kodirkulov Sanjar further sounded the lead scoring the 3rd goal in the 54th minute by a placing shot from close after receiving the ball from Azizjon Ganiev in the midfield (3-0).In the 70th minute, substitute forward Abdixolikov Bobir scored the 4th goal for Uzbekistan firing a low volley off a chip of Allinov Khojiakbar (4-0).Abdixolikov Bobir scored his 2nd and the 5th goal for Uzbekistan in the 80th minute by a low shot off a Azizjon Ganiev pass (5-0).Substitute midfielder Sayidjamol Davlatjonov netted the sixth in the 87th minute by his solo effort (6-0).Uzbek captain Kobilov Islomjon sealed the fate of the match scoring the 7th goal by a left footer from a free kick in the injury time of 93rd minute.Earlier in the 18th minute, Uzbek medio Doston Ibragimov missed an opportunity as his right footer went outside touching the left post.Bhutan goalie Gyaltshen Zangpo saved his side in the 24th minute foiling an attempt by medio Ibragimov in the goalmouth melee.Bhutanese played a defensive football from very beginning but failed to avoid huge defeat.Uzbekistan will face Sri Lanka in the next match on Sunday at 3:00 pm at the same venue.
