A delegation of University of Science and Technology, Chittagong (USTC) paid a courtesy call on Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim at his secretariat office on Thursday.
Led by Vice-chancellor of USTC Prof Dr Provat Kumar Barua, the delegation apprised the minister of different aspects of development of the institution over the years.
The Health Minister gave them a patient hearing and assured the delegation members of holding another meeting with them within next week on the opening of another faculty of the prestigious medical university.
The other members of the USTC delegation included president of Bangladesh Development Journalists and Writers Forum Ali Niyamat and a teacher of USTC Prof Dr Neena Islam. Director General of the Health and Family Welfare Directorate Prof Dr Deen Mohammad Nurul Huq was also present at the meeting.
