A young man and his nephew were electrocuted at Shantinagar village under Kalai upazila of the district on Tuesday morning.
The victims are Jahangir, 22, and his nephew Shakil, 13, residents of the same area.
Police said Jahangir and Shakil were electrocuted this morning after they got down a pond as a fish farmer, Shahin, connected a live wire, without any notice, to his pond for preventing fish stealing.
Assistant Superintendent of Police of the district Ashok Kumar Pal confirmed the incident.
