Dr. G M Khurshid Alam, has been elected as the new Chairman of Union Capital Limited (UCL) at its 291st meeting of the board of directors of the company held at its head office in the capital recently.
He is representing EC Securities Limited in the board of the company, said a press release.
G.M Khurshid Alam has been serving as Operations Director of “The Policy Research Institutions of Bangladesh” (PRI) since January 01, 2014. He is also holding the position of Chairman of Prime Bank Securities Limited, Independent Director of Mobil-Jamuna Limited and Director of Prime Bank Investment Limited.
Dr. Alam completed his Ph.D in Economics from Boston University, USA. Prior to that he completed MA in Economics from the same university. He has also obtained M.A and B.A. (Hons) in Economics from the University of Dhaka in 1976 and 1975 respectively.
