A two-week long Capstone Course- 2016 of National Defence College (NDC) was inaugurated at the Mirpur Cantonment, Dhaka on Sunday. The Commandant of the College, Lieutenant General Chowdhury Hasan Sarwardy, BB, SBP inaugurated the opening ceremony as chief guest, says a press release.
A total of 35 fellows including Members of Parliament, Bureaucrats/technocrats (Secretary and equivalent) senior military officers (Major General and equivalent), senior journalists, senior Doctors and engineer, senior police officer, representative from autonomous institution, eminent educationist, NGO representatives, business leaders/CEOs/Industrialists and honorary Consul Generals are taking part in the course.
The main objective of the course is to provide cursory knowledge on National Security and Development to the participants.
In his address the Commandant paid glowing tributes to the Father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, national four leaders and all who sacrificed their lives in Liberation War and Language Movement Martyrs. He emphasized on knowledge, understanding and mutual respect to build up a co-creative solution oriented framework for ensuring sound foundation for national security and development.
Among others, high military officers and Faculty members of the college were also present on the occasion.
