Police in a drive arrested two persons and recovered two foreign-made pistols, four magazines, 29 rounds of bullet and 400 bottles of phensidyl from Golchattar area on the western side of Bangabandhu Bridge early this morning.
The arrestees were Din Islam, 32, son of Sirajuddin of Sukusi Balughat area under Demra thana in Dhaka and Mohammad Ali, 30, son of Azad Mullah of Masjid road area under Fatullah thana in Narayanganj district.
