Healthy entertainment facility for proper mental development and intelligence nourishment of children stressed in a two-day long children fair and cultural festival ended at Barisal on Friday night.
Bangladesh Shishu Academy Barisal branch with the help of district administration organized this ‘Shishu Ananda Mela O Shishu Sangskritik Utsav 2014 ‘ at Ashwini Kumar Hall of the city calling for creating new stream of healthy entertainment for the children to build good citizenship.
Children fair, painting, recitation, music, dress as you like competitions and exhibition of books, paintings , discussions, cultural shows, prize giving ceremony held in the two-day long programmes. Children and juvenile cultural troops from Banaripara, Mehendiganj upazilas, Halima Khatun and Jagadish Saraswat Girls Schools of Barisal Sadar, groups of unprivileged class of children, performed their cultural shows in the two-day fair and festival.
Md. Gaus, Divisional Commissioner, Md. Ibrahim, additional divisional commissioner, Humaun Kabir, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Shohidul Alam, Deputy Commissioner, Abul Kalam Azad, Abu Yusuf Md. Rezaur Rahman, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Prof. M Moazzem Hossain, Prof. Shah Sajeda, educationists, S M Iqbal, advocate, Pankaj Roy Chowdhury, District Children Affairs Officer and Member Secretary of the programme, addressed in different sessions of the prgramme.
