A housewife and a college girl reportedly committed suicide by taking poison and pesticide respectively at Manirampur and Chaugachha upazila on early Tuesday.
In Manirampur, Rahima Begum, 20, wife of Rashed Ali, hailing from Chaluahati village, had poison following longstanding dispute with her mother-in-law on Sunday afternoon.
Later, she was taken to Keshabpur General Hospital in critical condition where she died around 12 am on Tuesday.
In Chaugachha, Jui Khatun, 18, daughter of Saiful Islam, resident of Petvora village and a student of class XI of Chaugachha Women College, took pesticide over family feud on Sunday night.
Later, Jui was first taken to Chaugachha Health Complex and later shifted to Jessore General Hospital where she died on early Tuesday.
Two separate unnatural death cases were filed in connection with the incidents.
