At least seven policemen were injured in an attack by transport workers, who are on an indefinite strike in Sirajganj since Sunday morning.The workers enforced the strike protesting their Saturday’s clash with CNG drivers and police.Md Habibul Islam, officer in charge of Sirajganj Sadar Police Station, said a group of unruly transport workers suddenly attacked on-duty police personnel and hurled brick chips targeting them in front of Poura bus terminal around 10:30am, leaving seven of them injured.Three of the injured policemen were admitted to Sirajganj General Hospital where the condition of Md Abdul Mazed, a sub-inspector, is said to be critical, the OC said. The rest injured policemen were rushed to different local clinics.
