A seminar was held in Rangpur on the importance of proper use of micro credit and skill development training activities. Rangpur District Magistrate Md Asib Ahsan was the chief guest at the city’s Hotel Mid Night Sun on Thursday afternoon. Deputy Director of District Social Services Md. Abdul Matin presided over the function and Rangpur Divisional Director of Social Services (Deputy Secretary) Md. Abdul Motaleb Sarkar and Executive Magistrate of City Corporation Mahmudul Mahmudul Hasan Mridha were the special guests. Speaking on the occasion, among others, Additional Director of the Divisional Social Services Office, Rangpur Polytechnic Institute Deputy Principal Engineer Md. Tajul Islam, City Social Services Officer Shafiqul Islam Paiker, officials and employees of various sectors including officials of the Social Services Office were present. . Deputy Commissioner Asib Ahsan said the Department of Social Services is working for the backward people. Besides, the Department of Social Services is working to improve the living standards of the poor and helpless families through micro-credit. The Department of Social Services is playing a relatively significant role than other government office sectors. They are continuing their efforts to develop the new generation by participating in various training workshops from the Department of Social Services. This will enable the next generation to be transformed into new forms.
