The official trailer of Dhallywood’s popular actress Apu Biswas starrer Tollywood movie titled ‘Ajker Shortcut’ was unveiled in Kolkata on August 23. Kolkata’s popular singer Nachiketa Chakraborty has written the story of the movie.
Directed by Subir Mondal, the other cast of the movie includes Kolkata’s actors Parambrata Chattopadhyay and Gaurav Chakrabarty.
The movie’s plot revolves around the theme of unemployment and how it affects urban society. The story revolves around two characters Vishu, a slum dweller played by Parambrata Chattopadhyay, and Abesh, played by Gaurav Chakrabarty who lives in a multi-story just beside Vishu’s slum.
Apu Biswas is making her Tollywood debut with this movie.
She will be portraying the role of a Bangladeshi woman who came to India to seek medical treatment.
The movie is slated for release in theaters on September 16. Currently, there are also talks about releasing the movie in Bangladesh.
Nachiketa will also be seen playing an on-screen role in the film. The film’s shooting took place in Kolkata’s Bidhannagar and Rajarhat.
